Jonkoping town and other things.

The lovely big pink (How appropriate.) house that we stayed was a short walk from the town, beach and local swimming pool/mini golf centre. The house was in the grounds of Jonkoping college so I'm sure we interrupted many of the lessons with our loud, disruptive behaviour.

Huge banner advertising the festival:

There were posters and banners and things all over the town. We walked into one of the trendy equivalents of 'Topman/River Island' to buy socks (For Callum) and one of the assistants asked us why we were in Sweden. We said we're in a band and we're playing the festival. She was surprised and said 'You must be Pink River Dolphins!' and pointed to a big poster on the wall advertising the festival and the bands that were playing. That's when we knew we had conquered Sweden.

Some of the strange and wonderful things we saw around the town:

We have no idea what this was but if you look closely in the top right corner there is also a noose in the advertisement...?
Another strange advert:

In 1853 the Swedish inventor J.E. Lundstrum (Below) patented the safety match. Here is his bust in the city centre:

And finally, King don, chilling in the town:

There are loads more pictures and videos of our Swedish adventures which I will post soon. We are also looking at setting up a 'www.pinkriverdolphins.com' very soon so keep checking back for more details.
